2014 in review

So I actually got one of these things this year, and thought it would be fitting to end 2014 on if all else fails… by publishing it for posterity. I know a lot of people have been publishing these, and if you’re anything like me you’ve been routinely ignoring the similar year-in-review posts on Facebook the past week, so please do not feel obligated to click the link below. I’m posting this merely for my own interest.

If, however, you actually enjoy reading these things, I can’t very well stop you, can I? Anyway, thanks for everyone who commented, participated, shared or just read the past year. Blogging won’t be half as much fun without you guys.

Enjoy the last day of 2014 (or evening, depending on your time zone when this post goes live), don’t party too hard and please don’t drink and drive. See y’all next year…

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 8,200 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

  1. Happy New Year!! (I’m a little late, but better late than never eh?). Hope you had a great evening and are enjoying 2015 so far. πŸ™‚

It’s really weird, but I didn’t get one of these WordPress Year in Review things this year… I’m wondering if I accidentally deleted it…

    1. I didn’t get one in 2013. It seems not all blogs get them every time. But there should be a thread in the support forum where you can request one.

2015 so far has been… well, let’s just say things can only get better. For one, I’m a bit internet-deprived, but will try to have something up later today. Hope your year is awesome πŸ™‚

    2. Oh really? That surprises me. Previously I’ve gotten one every year so I just assumed they were a thing everybody got. Thanks for the tip.

Ohh dear, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. πŸ™‚ If it makes you feel any better, I’ve just been hit with a horrible cold. Not quite how I wanted 2015 to start either!

  2. Happy New Year, Mr. Kok.

May you have an exhilarating time catching up on all those missed weeks of the Song Title Challenge… or you could just follow the blog that will be hosting my new writing challenge. πŸ˜‰

And whatever you do tonight, don’t get videotaped. (I’m sure you behave, but still…)

    1. Thanks πŸ™‚

If someone did videotape me last night it would have meant they had broken into my home to do it, as I was fast asleep when the New Year arrived (well, actually I was awoken by the volley of fireworks, which are supposed to be illegal under our municipal by-laws). That staying up till midnight thing is highly overrated if you ask me.
