The minion is having a make-believe Zoom call. No screen, just an old, broken keyboard I’ve given her to play with.
The wife and I both had to come say hi to her “work people” – she always pops in during my bi-weekly video call with the rest of my team to say hello 😀

Hi, nice to read your blog, especially the birthday letter post. I have a little angle too, today is her birthday (2 y.o).
This year finally I know how it feel to work from home (when I read people post about working at distributed Automattic I wonder how it feel to work from home) and the positive side is I can have more time to play with my kid.
I hope this pandemic days will be ended soon and at that time hope I still can work from home so I can see her grow up.

Yeah, getting to be at home to see her grow up is absolutely the best part of working from home. I haven’t had to miss out on a single significant moment because I was stuck at the office.
