As many bloggers have noticed, pingbacks on this site stopped working properly at some point on Tuesday, June 7. This issue goes beyond The Daily Post and has affected many other sites across WordPress.com. Our technical team is working on getting pingbacks up and running again as soon as possible.
First, our apologies for this major inconvenience. One of our most important goals at The Daily Post — if not the most important one — is to foster interaction among bloggers, and pingbacks are one of the main tools at our disposal to help you find each other. So we share your frustration.

Um. What exactly is/are pingbacks??? How does it work when it’s working?

Haha. Pingbacks are when you link to another post, either on your own site or someone else’s, and they get an automatic comment notifying them that you linked to them and linking back to your post. That automatic comment is not working for some sites at the moment.
