  1. I have a story about this song – a true one. Back in 1975-84, New Zealand’s Prime Minister was Rob Muldoon, who was basically a political thug and deeply hated. I’ve since cast more dimensional light on him (with peer-review of what I wrote by his biographer) in one of my history books. However, the point is this. He was swept from power when he lost a snap election in mid-1984, and shortly relegated to the back benches. At which point he began having fun. He turned up on TV fronting a horror movie slot (as ‘Count Robula’). And he also starred as The Narrator in a local production of The Rocky Horror Show where, inevitably, he did the Timewarp… Yup – a former PM! And here’s a (30 second) video of him doing it…
