Greatest Hits: Careless Whispers – Wham!

So here I am, racing towards the NaNoWriMo finish line in leaps and bounds, when I realise y’all are probably waiting for your weekly Song Title Challenge. Thing is, I’m in mega-focussed writing mode right now, so much so that I’ve even been forgetting to check my WordPress Reader for all your excellent blog posts. Needless to, save for the initial spark of inspiration when I received the latest titles in the mail, I haven’t given them a thought since.

So, once again, I give you one from the archives. This one was also part of my inspiration for the current WIP and a similar scene will be included in the novel. It’s one of my favourites. If you haven’t seen it yet, I hope you like it as well.

Song Title Challenge #24: Crosseyed and Painless – Talking Heads

It’s time for this week’s Song Title Challenge.

Write a short piece of fiction, around 300 words, using the song title as your story title but don’t listen to the song.  You can pick your own genre or use the one suggested to me.  Remember to link back to this post so I can find yours.

If you would like to suggest a song title for a future post, you can do so from the challenge page.  You can also leave a suggestion on the Facebook page.

This week’s song is Crosseyed and Painless by Talking Heads and the genre is Horror/Thriller.  Thanks to bumblepuppies for the suggestion.

Greatest Hits: Nessun Dorma – Giacomo Puccini

With the humblest of apologies, dear readers, I’m going to plead out for today’s Song Title Challenge. All my creative energies at present is being channelled into the novel and while I have a song title waiting in the wings, I am completely unable to think of anything to do with it, even if I ignore the genre. Bumblepuppies has me stumped for the moment.

To make up for it, I’m pointing you to the very first Song Title Challenge I did here. I posted this way back in May so I reckon a lot of you haven’t seen it yet. This particular challenge is also one of two that served as the inspiration for the current novel.

Enjoy, and if you’re up to it, take part yourself.
